Bonnie Lovell

Regretfully and with heavy hearts, we must announce the passing of Bonnie Maxine Long Lovell, 81. She died peacefully in her home, surrounded by love, on Tuesday 11/29/2022, at 4:49 pm. Born March 2, 1941, in Denver, Co., daughter of Hannah Frances Faulkner (Winkler), and Jay Dee Long, she was the sunlight in her daddy’s day, and the delight in her daddy’s heart. As Bonnie used to say, he spoiled her rotten and gave her anything and everything that she ever wanted. Sadly, Bonnie's dad passed when she was only 16 years old. It truly broke her heart. January 19, 1958, she married James Irven Mulliken. They lived in Englewood, Co. for a while, then moved to Freemont, NE. where they started their family. While there, Bonnie gave birth to their first three children. Marilynn Dee (James Methven), Lorilynn Kae, who sadly died at birth, and Bryan James. After moving back to Denver, they had three more children; Wendell Ray, Cherilynn Marie (Steve Herman), and Scott Joseph. Jim's work, as a Boilermaker moved the whole group all the way to Oregon. Moving on to Everett, the kids had flown the coop. On April 16th, 1984, Bonnie married Keith Foster Lovell (02/09/1936). They lived in Marysville for a few years before landing in Malott, WA. They found a house and spent the next 30 years making it at home. Throughout their years they were foster parents to many children, but her favorite times were when family would come to visit, she enjoyed all the attention they would shower upon her. But she especially loved all the little things Keith would do for her in the yard. The incredible flowers, the pond with the bridge and waterfall, and all the little cherubs. Anything Pink was her thing after years of being married, she learned that Keith had been hiding his secret. He in fact, liked her in blue better. Well, she went out and went hog wild for everything blue. If she saw it, she bought it. And it delighted Keith. Sadly, Keith died in 2015. By then, she was starting to show the signs of dementia. Because of her son Wendell, who moved in with her and took care of her, she was able to stay in her home until she peacefully passed away, surrounded by love. She will be forever loved, and forever missed. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Keith, daughter, Lorilynn, son’s Bryan and Scott. She is survived by three of her children, Marilyn, Wendell, and Cherilyn, many grandchildren and even more great grandchildren.
