Amanda Louise Yaksic

Our beloved Mandy, age 37, peacefully passed away on August 22, 2025 in Wenatchee at Central Washington Hospital. Amanda was born on October 16,1987 at Mid-Valley Hospital in Omak and was welcomed by her parents, Dan and Terri Yaksic and her big sister and best friend Kristen. Mandy attended school in Omak and graduated from Omak High School with the Class of 2006. During her four years at OHS, Mandy participated in student leadership participating in ASB and Family, Career and Community Leaders of America. She was elected and served as a State FCCLA officer for two years under the guidance of her favorite teacher, mentor and second mother, Barb Pearson. She also competed and won a top national award for her Chapter Showcase display with her friends Rebecca and Felecia. FCCLA gave Mandy the opportunity to travel across the country for national and regional conferences. She also served as a Legislative Page for Senator Linda Parlette when she was in the eight grade and also traveled to Baltimore and Washington DC and attended the People to People Student Ambassador Program while in high school. After graduating high school, Amanda attended WSU in Pullman for three years. Even though she did not finish her college education, she remained a die-hard Cougar fan. GO COUGS! In the spring of 2010, Mandy met the love of her life, Daniel Marsden. On July 23, 2011, they welcomed their daughter, Madilynn Mae. On October 16, 2021, Landon James was born on Mandy’s birthday, the same birthdate that she shared with her grandmother, Arlene Koski. The family was truly excited to have three generations share the same birthdate. On January 17, 2023, they welcomed Kynsley Louise, who completed their beautiful family. Mandy loved her children dearly and her children were her everything. On December 30, 2023, Mandy and Daniel were married in a spiritual ceremony in Omak attended by their families and friends. Having been baptized on December 11, 2022 in Walla Walla, it was important for Mandy to be married to Daniel in the eyes of God. It was a beautiful wedding ceremony and Mandy looked amazing. Mandy loved to read, travel, go camping and boating. She was involved in Campfire and 4H and loved participating in the Okanogan County Fair as a child showing her crafts and animals. The fair was her happy place. As an adult, she worked the maintenance contract at the fair the last six years of her life. Mandy is preceded in death by her grandmothers Arlene Koski and Glenna Yaksic, grandfather Nick Yaksic and cousin CJ Lockwood. She is survived by her husband, Daniel and three beautiful children, Madilynn, Landon and Kynsley as well as her parents, Dan and Terri Yaksic, sister Kristen Miller (Will), niece Kameryn Miller, grandfather Harry Koski, in-laws, Dianna and Jeff Oestreich and Daniel’s family. We invite all of our friends and family to attend Mandy’s Celebration of Life which will be held on Sunday, October 19, 2025 in the Agri-plex at the Okanogan County Fair from 2:00 – 5:00. Mandy was truly loved and will be deeply missed by all her family and friends. River Valley Funeral and Cremation in Okanogan were in charge of Mandy’s cremation. May you rest in peace our beautiful angel. We will love you and miss you forever.
