Mrs. Margaret Ruth Johnson Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Margaret Ruth (Jones) Johnson passed away June 27, 2022, at Mid-Valley Hospital in Omak, Wash. Margaret was born July 31, 1930, in Worley, Idaho to Evan and Ruth (Adldrich) Jones. Margaret was eight years old when the family moved to Pinecreek and was raised on the family ranch. She attended school in Riverside, Wash. and graduated from Riverside High School in 1950. After graduating she worked as a telephone operator in Okanogan, Wash. Margaret married Gilbert Johnson in 1952 they purchased their home in Riverside where she lived until a brief stay at Apple Springs in Omak. They had two children, Christina and John. Margaret loved children and dearly loved her grandkids. She is survived by her son, John (Carol) Johnson; granddaughter, Tami (Dan) Townsend; son-in-law, Clay Hobbs; and grandsons, Floyd, Cody and Travis Hobbs; one brother, Bill (Lawanda) Jones; sister-in-law, Delores Jones, Glenna Jones, Katheryn Almqist, and Nora Hilderbrand; great-grandsons, Garet and Jason Townsend, Douglas Smith and Arlen Hobbs; one great-granddaughter, Jamie Hobbs; and one great-great-grandsons, Benjamin and Nicholas Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gilbert; daughter, Christina; and grandsons, Jimmy and Jack Smith; brothers, Jack, Lewis, Tom, and Charles ‘PeeWee’; sisters, Marg, Frankie, and Shirley; and many nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed. There will be visitation to pay the last respects to Margaret from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, July 8, 2022, at River Valley Funeral Home, 2547 Elmway, Okanogan, A Graveside Service will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 9, 2022, at the Riverside Cemetery in Riverside. A reception will follow at the Riverside Grange Hall.
