Virginia G. Engh

Virginia was born in Park Rapids, Minnesota to Paul and Pearl Carey. She grew up with 4 brothers and 2 sisters. She married Harry W. Engh on August 30, 1947 and treasured 69 years of marriage filled with love until his passing in 2016. They had a wonderful and busy life together, starting out in Park Rapids and in 1948 moving out west to Omak, Washington. There they were blessed with 6 children, Daniel, Kathy, Deborah, Faith, Luanne, and Tim. She was a beautiful, loving, caring, sharing person and “adopted” many other people as part of her “family”. So very creative, some examples are she crocheted many gifts from baby clothes to afghans for friends, developed an interest in cake decorating and made many wedding and graduation cakes for family and friends, she loved making silk flower arrangements, especially for the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She was the best cook! When computers came along she learned how to print photographs on it, and Boy! did she print a lot of pictures. Virginia set the best example in her kindness and love. In 1951 she dedicated her life to Jehovah God and was baptized, and remained a faithful Witness for Jehovah. One beautiful, comforting hope she looked forward to and shared with others was the Bible’s promise of a resurrection to come- Revelation 21:4 says “death will be no more”, John 5:28-”The hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.” Psalms 116:15-”Precious in the eyes of Jehovah is the death of His loyal ones.” Her favorite song was Just Around the Corner. She was the best Mom! The greatest heritage she gave her children was teaching them about Jehovah God and all He promises in his word the Bible. We loved her for that heritage. She passed away peacefully holding her daughter Kathy’s hand at 93 years of age. Virginia was preceded in death by Harry, infant daughter Luanne, her parents and 4 brothers and 2 sisters. We greatly miss her already and know she is in Jehovah’s memory and we will soon see her again in God’s promised paradise earth. She is survived by her children, Daniel(Patty), Kathy(John), Deborah(Edward), Faith, Tim(Shelley).18 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. Sister-in-laws, Doris Rowe and Carole Carey. Special nieces and nephews, whom she was a second Mom to, her special dog Bodie, Plus many more family and friends. She chose cremation with her ashes interred in the same grave as her husband to share headstone. She requested no services, if you would like to send a card please send to Kathy Boyd, P.O. All that we are can quickly fade away, Replaced with tears and sorrow. If a man should die, can he live again? Hear the promise God has made:(chorus) He will call; the dead will answer.
