Sabina Menchaca Sánchez returned to her Lord on August 1, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones at Swedish Hospital in Seattle, Washington. Born in Durango, Mexico, she worked tirelessly alongside her husband to give her children a chance at the American Dream. Sabina was no stranger to hard work. She made her living in the fields and orchards, and her final position was at Pacific Calcium Inc., where she was revered as one of the best workers PCI had ever seen. She would proudly note that few men could keep pace with her. She loved being outdoors in her gardens, planting flowers and vegetables. She adored animals of all kinds, especially her parakeets and cockatiels, who brought her joy day after day. Singing and cooking brought her immense happiness, but nothing compared to the delight of watching her children laugh and play as they grew. Everyone who knew her considered her an amazing cook. She held the belief that anything could be fixed with sana sana and a big plate of homemade food. Sabina is survived by her loving husband, Antonio Menchaca; her ten children; thirty-one grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved with all her heart and soul. Her love, laughter, and cooking will be truly missed.
