Colossians 3:12 NIV Radford was chosen and throughout his life he shared his gifts of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience to many. You may not have realized but to each who met him received those gifts. Radford Dean George was born to Melvin and Delores George on January 31, 1961. He was 2nd to the youngest of 5 children. His siblings Max Hobrecht, Steve Hobrecht, Don Hobrecht (deceased) and twin sister Carlene Yacinich. He and his twin sister spent a lot of their toddler years (due to Mom having a stroke) and school age years on the weekends with their grandparents Joe and Marion Covington of Keller WA . (years that made a very strong impression on Rad, he loved his Grandpa Joe and Grandma Marion) and learn so much impacting his life until death. Rad attended grade school in Nespelem and junior high and high School in Coulee Dam WA, graduating in 1979. He loved football and although small could hit hard, he also played baseball hitting the ball over the fence excelling in all. After graduation he began his career in Construction as an Iron Worker for about 8 years from Moses Lake to California for Brown and Root construction out of Texas who seen his working ability He returned home approx. 1987 and met the love of his life, Jody Ann Kensler and their journey began. Radford and Brandon born 1984 invited Jody into their family and began growing when Shelby Joreen was born in 1989, then Maddesyn Danielle in 1993 when in 1998 Robert Michael joined them to become one big happy family. The George Family and with Radfords Gifts opened our doors too many children who did become a part of our family, Mitchell Owens Pakootas Jr and James Jo Kensler to name a few plus God-son Jamie K And many more nieces and nephews within our families. To this day Radford and Jody loved and love them all dearly. Radford had many friends as well that he Loved like brothers and there are three that standout In his life to include Jeffrey Elisoff, Red Palmer and Blain Covington. They all gave something to Radford the changed his life in many ways. The one that stands out, Red Palmer, began Radfords love of God. It was Radford's work family - Red- that brought him to his church family, another family within the Catholic church. Fr. Jake and Nancy Armstrong Montes to name a few Influenced, taught and welcomed Radford with open arms. Radford gave his gifts and his ability to spread the word of God to many within our community. He grew in so many ways to become a Deacon within the Sacred Heart church. So again our family grew. Radford started his career at the Colville tribal logging where he met Jeff and Red in 1987 This is when Jody who asked her uncle to give Rad a job so he would stay because she knew immediately how much love she had for Radford. He worked there for many years as a heavy equipment diesel mechanic until the logging industry shut down and then started at the started the Bureau of Indian affairs department of roads. Everything that Radford put his heart into he did at 110%. His family his career and his faith were given his gifts of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. That became his triangle that Radford had to balance because he always had to give so much of himself to all of them. Everyone family friends brothers coworkers felt the gifts that Rad had to give to all. Radford Dean George greatest passion was family. Whether it’s his home family, his work family, or his church family. Services for Radford were held at the Nespelem Catholic Church and he was laid to rest at the Nespelem Catholic Cemetery.
