Lois Fay Johnson

Lois Fay Johnson fell asleep in death peacefully January 18, 2025 at the age of 76. Born September 14, 1948, in Tonasket, WA to Paul and Eva (Howe) Rogers. Lois joined her older sister Sandra, and later her siblings Rita, Carol, Glen, Audrey, Rodney, Daid, and Randy were added to the family. Lois attended Tonasket schools, graduating in 1966. She moved to Spokane after graduation to continue her education. She met her first husband while in Spokane and followed him in the military, moving to German and later Kansas. Two children, Christine and Robert (Rob) were born to this union. Lois moved back to the Okanogan Valley in the 1970s, She worked hard supporting herself and her children as a bus driver, postal worker, caregiver, as well as a cook. Lois was an excellent cook and owned The Pantry Restaurant in Tonasket for several years. Lois met and then married the love of her life, Richard (Dick) S. Johnson in August 1980. They merged their two families and lived in Tonasket until Dick’s passing in 2001. Through Dick, Lois learned about Jehovah’s Witnesses beliefs. Lois had a strong sense of spirituality and served Jehovah wholeheartedly. She dedicated her life to Jehovah through water baptism September 4, 1982. Her spiritual beliefs ran deep, and she practiced them daily. She freely discussed and taught from the Bible Jehovah’s promise of the future Paradise to come for the earth, with peace and tranquility for all. Lois loved being Granny to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was always there to support her friends and family through difficult situations. Lois is survived by her daughter: Christine (John) Straub of Colville, WA; and her son: Robert Hale (Abby) of Bridgeport, WA; Grandchildren: Brandon Straub (Kaylee) of Clarkston, WA; Brandie Wheeler (Tommy) of Post Falls, ID; Alex Straub (Hannah) of Spokane, WA; Andrew Straub (Bella) of Garrison, MT; Sabrina Hale of Omak, WA; and Robert Hale Jr. of Bridgeport, WA. Great Grandchildren: Anahlee Straub, Westen Straub, Logan Wheeler, Kylee Wheeler, Ember Straub, Asher Straub, Isabella Jaime-McDougal, and Nico Hall. Siblings: Sandra Smith, Rita; Morrison Rogers, Carol Jensen, Audrey Fox, Rodney Rogers, David Rogers, and Randy Rogers. And two of her dear friends who took special care of our Lois. She is preceded in death by husband: Richard Johnson; parents: Paul and Eva Rogers; and brother: Glen Rogers.
