LaCrisha Dawn Cate

LaCrisha Dawn Cate, 34, was born June 14th 1989 to Joleen McKinney and Rodger Cate in Omak, WA. She passed away suddenly in Central WA Hospital on August 4th 2023. In the early years she attended Pascal Sherman Indian School where she played soccer and learned how to do Traditional Fancy and Jingle dancing. She was crowned Sunflower Princess when she was in the fourth grade. Crisha went on to spend her remaining years of school at the Omak Junior/Senior High School also playing softball and basketball. LaCrisha also had a passion for being a cowgirl. She bukled twice and goat tieing and barrel racing. She loved to stand on the horses back and ride around the arena. Crisha was the eldest of her 6 siblings. Her brother Kyle's closeness was one of a kind he'd follow her wherever she woudl go and the 2 of them were the best of friends. Soon Autumn and Anthony joined the family. She was so happy to have another brother and sister aroudn to help her with the dishes and to boss around. And then came her 2 baby brothers, Kanyen and Rodger. She would spend lots of time with them making sure that they knew she was the big sister. She was an awesome big sister and always protected each and every one siblings and loved them very much. LaCrisha met Dustin Hayes in high school and not long after the 2 of the them started a family of their own. Their daughter Aunnalia, son Dustin Jr aka ham bones and son Kardar became the greatest accomplishments of her life she she was an amazing mom raising her children while working at 12 Tribes Casino and headquarters attending PTA meetings and bake sales and whatever events for her children that came up. LaCrisha loved everyone and everyone loved her. She was fun lively and very social. Her personality radiated like sunshine and could brighten anyones days. LaCrisha is preceded in death by her grandparents John and Marilyn McKinney, Roy and Bernice Cate. Uncles Ronnie McKinney and Ronnie Hance, Hank and Kenny Cate. Brothers Ryan "Chode" Porter and Ryan "Tank" Marchand. She is survived by her boyfriend Sage Wiggins and their mini kid Rowdy, per parents Rodger Cate and Joleen McKinney; brothers Anthony, Kyle Rodger, and Kanyan; sister Autumn and her 3 beautiful children, Aunnalia, Ham, Kardar. Along with several aunties and uncles and friends whom she loved. Services were held on August 8th 2023 at the Omak Long House with her final resting place at the Fort Okanogan Cemetery in Monse.
